Panelle is proud to welcome Trend Micro, a global leader in cybersecurity, as a partner in our mission to elevate women in technology and create spaces where leadership and equity go hand in hand.
With women still significantly underrepresented in cybersecurity - particularly in senior roles - Trend Micro recognises that change requires more than good intentions; it requires real action. From their Close the Gap™ programme to their work with Girls in Tech, Trend Micro is helping to recruit, retain, and promote women across the cybersecurity sector.
Through our roundtable collaboration, Trend Micro and Panelle are creating space for deeper conversations around leadership, inclusion, and the pressing issues facing today’s tech environment; from AI bias to boardroom-level risk awareness. This partnership is not a checkbox, it’s a commitment to community, visibility, and progress...
Why did you choose to work with Panelle?
Women professionals make up less than 18% of the UK cybersecurity workforce, and only 7–14% of senior roles, depending on the source.
These numbers highlight a clear need: more women in the room, and stronger support for those already there.
We know how hard it can be to be seen and heard as a woman in this environment even in tech marketing, so we're personally committed to doing everything I can to support these communities and foster new types of conversations.
"Help make this community stronger, more resilient, and more influential."
Partnering with Panelle isn’t just symbolic. It’s strategic. Together, we can provide women with the tools, share skills, pass on lessons learned from our own women leaders, and help make this community stronger, more resilient, and more influential.
Why is DEI important to your business?
At Trend Micro, diversity, equity, and inclusion aren’t just values on a piece of paper. They’re essential to how we work and grow.
"A diverse workforce reflects the global customers and communities we serve"
A diverse workforce reflects the global customers and communities we serve, bringing a broader range of perspectives, ideas, and experiences.
It fuels innovation, drives better decision-making, and helps us create solutions that meet real-world challenges.
How is your company driving representation for women?
We are committed to increasing representation for women in cybersecurity through partnerships with initiatives like Girls in Tech and our own Close the Gap™ programmes.
Designed to close the cybersecurity skills gap and build a diverse workforce for the future, these initiatives offer scholarships, financial support, mentorship, internships, ongoing education, and opportunities to connect through internal and external networking events and fundraisers.
"Recruit, retain, mentor, and promote women..."
Together, we aim to recruit, retain, mentor, and promote women across all levels of the organisation.
How can Panelle help with your DEI goals?
We’re not partnering with Panelle as a DEI exercise. Our goals are clear and grounded in a genuine exchange of knowledge.
We want to engage with as many women in tech as possible, listen to their experiences, learn and adapt where needed, and share insights wherever we can add value.
What will you achieve through this series with Panelle?
We aim to better understand the local community and its challenges, while also tackling critical topics shaping the cybersecurity landscape.
This includes raising cyber risk awareness at the board level, exploring the challenges and biases of AI, and addressing other pressing issues that impact our environment and industry.
Through this roundtable series, we aim to foster meaningful dialogue, share insights, and provide actionable guidance that empowers women in cybersecurity and drives positive change across our local community.
